Erick grew up in the Northwest mountains and graduated high school in 2009. After graduating, he was set to go play college football at a few different schools. Erick felt a strong pull to do something bigger than that so he enlisted in the US Army as an Infantryman.

 

After graduating in the top 10 of his class, Ericks next goal was joining the Special Forces for the Army. He was luckily placed in an infantry battalion that was top tier and one of the first infantry battalions in the United States. That long standing tradition also came with very high expectations that really drove him to be better than ever before.  About 6 months after getting to his battalion, he learned they had orders to deploy and assist the Special Forces operators with their operations. Erick was able to train with some of the most elite soldiers in the armed forces every single day during his deployment. Unfortunately, Erick was injured during his first tour overseas. After a couple surgeries and physical therapy, the Army decided the best course of action was to Honorably Discharge Erick due to this injuries.

Erick has always felt a pull towards serving his community and being around firearms. Getting out of the military was not his plan, so he went to college and became an EMT. Erick was top of his EMT class and became and EMT instructor as soon as he graduated.

 

As fun as that was, Erick still felt a pull to serve in other ways. Erick joined his local police department where he still works to this day. Erick serves with an amazing Idaho police department that holds the highest standards and trains more than other departments in the state.

Erick has been married to his beautiful wife for 7 years and has 3 amazing kids.  They have a deep love for the outdoors and are always finding new adventures to go on.
